Catfish ClanLori Drazenovich

Lori Drazenovich is from the Catfish Clan, and a member of the Lake Helen First Nation.  She has lived in Thunder Bay since 1984.  She continues to reside with her husband George of 20 years and their daughter Aila.  She has a 3 yr. Social Work Diploma from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and a B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Native Studies from Algoma University.

Her work experience includes working with Aboriginal children and families in a Native Child and Family organization; Aboriginal Employment Counsellor and Program Coordinator for Aboriginal Employment and Training program; and Case Manager for Aboriginal Adults with Mental Illness.  She currently works for the Ontario Aboriginal Head Start Association as their Meeting Coordinator.

She enjoys singing, playing guitar and hand drumming.  She was with the Mushkowzee Ekwewak Drum Group from Sept/2004 to March/2006; and is currently a member of the Kateri Singers as of September 2004, and is a member of the Medicine Wheel Spirit Singers as of April 2006.
